.....

For crew, by crew.

Born somewhere between a 5am call-time and the third flat white of the morning, we make stuff for people whose phone once rang during a Daniel Day-Lewis monologue.

Torn between London & the Mediterranean, we make apparel that we couldn't find. We're a brand fuelled by inside jokes, sarcasm, & that special kind of humour that you only get from 14hour days under an HMI in the rain.

Sustainability matters, so our unique designs are made to order - no dusty warehouse of sadness here. We produce and ship from the UK, the US and inside the EU to keep shipping costs down, and save the planet, one patch at a time.

There's two faces to the brand, a minimalist range with a clean, understated aesthetic... and a rowdy range with bolder designs for the extroverts out there.

If you don't get it, that's fine. It probably wasn't meant for you anyway.

  • Made to Order
  • Shipping Worldwide
  • No egos
  • No callsheets

So, what's with the name?

Like a tiny sun with an attitude problem: hot, bright, and impossible to ignore. A flash of energy that burns bright, judges quietly, and leaves everything else looking dim by comparison.

I feel like you avoided the question?

ok... a Carbon Arc was the drama queen of early film lighting. Two carbon sticks, a lot of electricity, and just like that, a blindingly bright light that could fry your retinas and expose early film-stocks. Slightly terrifying, entirely necessary, and ridiculously dramatic.
